Fragments of truths - The Doll and other tales

Fragments of truths - The Doll and other tales

A pre-occupation with dolls?

A previous post:
A homage to Tracey Moffatt

and of course, Ned.

The Doll  - a poem

Over the fence behind the house,
unoccupied pending demolition,
I could see the doll, suspended.
Once a plaything.
Now abandoned, discarded, unwanted.
What tales could it tell?
Fondled by human hands, a trace of DNA, a strand of hair.
It acts out in the breath of the breeze a longing still
to be free from what awaits, a tomb of rubble.
